I am proud to announce the winners of the 2025 Kenneth B. Scott Ritual Competition. Before I begin with the winners, I would like to thank Sister Marla, and Brother Ray, for asking me to chair this competition this year. I could not hold this competition with the help of the following people. Sisters Margi Wheeler, Barbara Pelfrey, and Jennifer Gilbert and Brothers, Scott Riddle, Bruce Ailes, and Ron Keller. As always, our faithful conductress Jacqui Umbach. You are all so appreciated. Our beautiful awards and bookmarks were once again made by our very talented Cheryl Metzger. You are appreciated more than you know!
We will be holding the competition again next year. If you have never competed before, try something different. You are good enough! Sign up! Our registration will open next week for next year’s competition! Check out the online registration, which will be available via the Ohio OES website soon, for more information.
This year we had competitors from 22 districts and 38 chapters. I would love to see someone from every district competing next year.
Next year you will be able to sign up for two competitions. We will give you a little break between the two competitions.
This year we have a special surprise for our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. In addition to their certificate and the framed awards the 1st place winners receive, they will each receive a special pin. This pin will represent the competition and they can show off their hard work when they wear it.
Now, onto what you would like to hear….please wait until the end to help me congratulate these winners. Once again we had several competitions that were within ½ a point between each of the top three competitors. This shows how wonderful our members do in performing their ritual. Take pride in your work! If the first place winners would come to the stage to pick up your picture and certificate and then move off the stage to the North so we can take a picture. Second and third place winners, please pick up your certificate and pin next to the stage in the North.
